Program Announced for Embedded Linux Conference and OpenIoT Summit

Linux creator Linus Torvalds to join leading embedded technologists at first-ever IoT Summit

SAN FRANCISCO, February 18, 2016 – The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today is announcing its full schedule of keynote speakers and conference sessions for Embedded Linux Conference and OpenIoT Summit, taking place April 4-6 in San Diego, Calif. These events are co-located, and one registration provides access to all sessions and activities for both events.

The new OpenIoT Summit is the first event of its kind, bringing together embedded developers, application developers, systems architects and firmware developers to learn, share and advance the technical work required for the future of IoT. OpenIoT Summit is for technologists and by technologists, gathering experts from the world’s leading companies and most important open source projects to present the information needed to lead successful IoT developments and bring smart connected products and solutions to market.

Embedded Linux Conference, the premier vendor-neutral technical conference for companies and developers using Linux in embedded products, is extending its scope in 2016 to include user-space developers – the people building applications on embedded Linux – and will be the preeminent space for product vendors and kernel and systems developers to collaborate with these influential technologists. For the first time, Linux creator Linus Torvalds will keynote the event.
