OpenContrail、The Linux Foundationへの移行を完了し‘ Tungsten Fabric ’に

他のLFプロジェクトと協力 ー クラウド エコシステム間のオープンソースを拡大

2018年3月27日ロサンゼルス発 (Open Networking Summit) – The Linux Foundation は、クラウドのためのオープンソースのネットワーク仮想化プラットフォームであるOpenContrailがLFへの移行を完了しTungsten Fabric へと名称を変更したことを発表しました。

以前 Juniper NetworksにホストされていたTungsten Fabricは、スケーラブルでマルチ クラウドなネットワーキング プラットフォームです。ネットワーキングとセキュリテイのための単一のコントロール・オブザーバビリティ・アナリティクスを提供します。Kubernetes、Mesos、VMware、OpenStackなど、多くのクラウド テクノロジー スタックと統合されています。プライベート クラウド / ハイブリッドクラウド / AWSやGCEなどのパグリック クラウド デプロイメントをサポートしています。Tungsten Fabricには、コンテナ・VM・ベアメタル アプリケーションを接続する高性能vRouterと、ネットワーク オーバーレイ・スイッチ ファブリック・ルータ ゲートウェイをオーケストレーションするコントローラが含まれています。

当プロジェクトは、OpenContrailとして2013年Juniper Networksによりオープンソース化されました。現在ではTungsten Fabricと名称を改め、運営基盤は活気に満ちた開発者とエンド ユーザー コミュニティを有しています。Tungsten Fabricは、ハイパースケール クラウド プロバイダー・通信事業者から企業まで、パブリックおよびプライベートのIaaS / CaaS / PaaS 環境全体にわたり大規模なグローバル スケールで展開されています。Tungsten Fabricのミッションは、さまざまな環境に接続できるネットワーク ファブリックを提供する、ユビキタスで、使いやすく、スケーラブルで、セキュアで、クラウド グレードのSDNスタックを構築することです。コントリビューターおよびコミュニティ メンバーには、Aricent、AT&T、Bell、Cavium、CertusNet,、CloudOps、CodiLime、Intel、Juniper Networks、Lenovo、Mellanox、Mirantis、Netronome、Orange、SDN Essentials、TechTrueUp、Yandexが含まれています。
